Because their enthusiasm holds no bounds, the supermarket Asda has made a couple of Nintendo Switch offers available before Black Friday is even upon us.
Undoubtedly, the main draw is a Nintendo Switch console for just £239.99. You can definitely find it online right now, but it’s unclear if the same offer is available in-store too. Given you’ll want to limit your trips outside in the UK, though, it’s probably best to order online if you can.
It’s a terrific Black Friday Switch offer, given that we weren’t really expecting the console to see a significant price cut over the big sales period. Usually, Nintendo’s ever-popular machine keeps its full value but is often bundled with a game or two to make it better value for money. Maybe this year’s Black Friday will be different, especially with those rumours of new Switch hardware coming in 2021.
It’s not quite as low as the offer Aldi boasted about just last week, where you’ll be able to get a Switch for another £10 less on Black Friday. Still, this is a terrific price if you don’t want to wait until the 27th.
Elsewhere, the retailer has also dropped the price of the Nintendo Switch Lite in all four colours to only £169.99 – that’s £30 off the usual price. You can pick up the pared-down console in Grey, Turquoise, Yellow or Coral.
Amazon was quick to price match this offer but appears to be running low on stock already. Your next best option is to get a Switch Lite with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe for £209. Maybe they’re saving some consoles back for their own Black Friday sales which are due to start soon?
Meanwhile, in the US, you can expect a Black Friday Switch bundle to be made available from Sunday. It’s going to include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and a 3-month Switch Online Membership for $299. You’ll be able to buy it from most stores, including Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy, Target and more.
